MOP Fair in the early 1900s

Good morning! Welcome to this week's edition of Leamington Local, where we bring you the cream of the crop from our corner of Warwickshire.

Thank you so much to our first subscribers as we shoot straight past the first milestone of 100 readers πŸ™ This all started as an idea only a short two weeks ago. So you're here right from the beginning and it means a lot. If you enjoy Leamington Local then please forward it to your friends and ask them to sign up at leamingtonlocal.com

In other news, my kids have been talking about Halloween for the last two months so I'm glad we're finally at an acceptable time for it now... it is, right? I've broken and bought our first pumpkins so will be trying desperately to stop them from turning to mush before the end of the month.

Let’s get to it.

Too good too miss

  • Warwick Mop festival returns! Brace for chaos as the town centre becomes a whirlwind of dizzying rides and sugary treats. Look forward to trying to win a prize that costs far less than the game to win it and regretting that last beer as you spin around on one of the rides. 17:00-20:30 Friday, 12:00-20:30 Saturday.
  • Oz & James' Great Cycle Challenge will stop off at The Old Post Office in Warwick at around 16:30 Thursday (today). If you fancy catching a glimpse or maybe even hearing a tune from James May then this is your chance. Also, it's a great pub to drop by any day of the week really...

🏠 Dream Homes - High Street Living

A pretty timeless classic on the outside, but the inside may be a bit more divisive...

This 4 bed is in a great location for people who enjoy town living, on the high street in Warwick and with off-street parking. You might want to crack out the wallpaper remover or know a good decorator though.
