Can you keep Hush about Leamington's new secret bar?

Leamington Spa has a new secret to share, and it's called Hush Bar! This speakeasy-inspired underground bar transports guests back to the Prohibition era of the 1920s and 30s, offering a unique and immersive experience.

Members only?

Hush Bar is set to open as a private members' club from January 2025. Members will have access to the bar from 5pm to 2:30am on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. We don't know how membership will work yet - they're being very tight lipped! But in the lead-up to the official launch, the bar is inviting everyone to take an early peek behind the unmarked black door in Victoria Terrace, so get there quickly while you can!

Where on earth is it?

Hush Bar is located in a transformed 40-meter space under The Terrace. The venue has been meticulously designed to recreate the ambiance of a 1920s speakeasy, complete with mood lighting, plush booth seating, and live jazz music. The Art Deco design, accented with plush seating and murals by local artist Gemma Grao, ensures that every corner of the bar exudes a nostalgic charm.

The bar boasts an elevated cocktail menu curated by General Manager Matthew Nisbets and Bar Manager Bethany Gaunt. With 25 innovative crafted cocktails, including the Flapper In The Frolic Pad and Bootlegger’s Blush, Hush Bar promises a taste of the Prohibition era. The drinks menu also features a wide selection of gins, rums, whiskeys, and premium wines, ensuring there's something for everyone.

General Manager Matthew Nisbets describes Hush Bar as a place that offers a nostalgic quality reminiscent of the 1920s Gatsby-esque style. The bar aims to be playful, light-hearted, and a little bit secretive, providing an opulent yet provocative experience.
